Occupational techniques: Application of biosystems technology in agriculture, including sustainable farming methods, soil and plant management, and biofertilizer production. Science applied to agriculture and environment: Understanding of biology, microbiology, biochemistry, and climate science as they relate to crop and animal health, soil quality, and environmental sustainability. Occupational technology: Use of modern agricultural technology, laboratory techniques (e.g., DNA extraction, fiber analysis), and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. Knowledge of business and its economic, legal, and social context: Awareness of agricultural economics, food security challenges, environmental regulations, and sustainable resource management within Sri Lanka’s social and legal framework. Thesis: Extraction and Characterization of Fibers from Caryota urens L. (Kithul) Leaves.
